Tonight, we had NAEMT president Don Lundy talking about EMS on the Hill Day 2013.

We discussed H. R. 809 which is to promote patient-centered, quality, and efficient field EMS.

We also talked about H. R. 235 which would enact transition programs for military medical personnel returning to civilian EMS. This bill has already passed the House of Representatives and is heading to the Senate.

We talked about how to ask your Senator or Representive to join the EMS Caucus and become a voice for EMS providers at the federal legislative level.

Don also mentioned some of the benefits of joining the NAEMT (I plan on using the discount for EMSWorld Expo personally)
